Bryant Ridge's Analysis:
The Model 94 rifle is certainly one of the most famous in the lline of Winchester World Class arms. The Model 94 is truly a classic. No gun better represents the Winchester legacy than this rifle. And as with the original "highly finished" Model 94s of the past, you'll appreciate its beautiful craftsmanship, detailed engraving scenes and superb function.
Through the years not much has changed from the original Model 94. The compact receiver keeps the weight centered between your hands. A noticeable lack of an external lever hinge below the receiver makes one-handed carrying convenient and easy. The action makes cycling a fresh round into the chamber smooth and effortless — an important feature for fast moving game like the whitetail deer. But most important, the Model 94 is the gun that works — and has worked for over a century.
This Model 94 rifle is certainly one of the most famous in the line of Winchester World Class arms. No gun better represents the Winchester legacy than this rifle. As with the original "highly finished" Model 94s of the past, you'll appreciate its beautiful craftmanship, detailed engraving scenes, and superb function.
This beautiful limited edition rifle was produced to celebrate the 100th anniversary (1894 - 1994) of the most famous lever action design of all time. It features a half magazine with half octagon and half round barrel and a pistol grip stock profile, the same styling as some of the most desirable Winchester "Ornamental Rifles" of the past. If you choose to own this rifle rest assured that it will be a prized possession and that it will stand a notch above all others in quality, beauty, and value well past the next century of this rifle's remarkable history.
Beautiful engraving on each side of the receiver displays different whitetail profiles in a close reproduction of the turn-of-the-century, 19th Century, #9 factory engraving style. The 26-inch barrel is half octagon/half round and is a classic for the era, same as those of old. Diamond style "H" checkering appears on the stock and forearm. These embellishments, combined with the high grade of walnut, make this a collector's piece that you will also be tempted to take afield, after all, it is "The Deer Rifle." The top tang is drilled and tapped for a Lyman #2 tang sight should you wish to add one (available from the factory), thereby giving it the same look and function as found on many original Model 94s of the first century of production.
This Model 94 Limited Edition rifle is a modern version of the most famous of all lever action rifles. With few minor exceptions, the action is identical to the way originals were made in 1894. Yet you'll find that today's manufacturing equipment and technology makes it possible to produce a rifle with more precision, closer metal-to-wood fits, and tighter overall tolerances than possible in earlier times. The greatest Winchester gunsmiths of the past would be very proud of this Model 94. This Model 94 is truly a gun that can stand very close scutiny.
Production of these rifles was limited to 12,000 worldwide, serially numbered CN 00001 through CN 12000. Produced for 1 year only in 1994.
