The Colt 22 Model is a semi-automatic pistol chambered in the .22 long rifle caliber. There are two main serial number sequences for the Colt. The four inch, officially designated Colt 22, has a serial prefix of PHxxxxx. The Model number is CC5140. The six inch is designated Colt Target Model and the serial numbers have a prefix of TMxxxxx. The Model number is CC5260. This pistol shows a polymer frame with a steel upper receiver and slide assembly with checkered grips. The slide has rear serrations on both side and is marked "Colt 22" and above the trigger guard the receiver is marked "Colt's Pt. F.A. Mfg. Co. Hartford, Conn. USA". It also features a 4 1/2" bull barrel.
