The S&W Ladysmith, later known as LadySmith, is a series of handguns manufactured by Smith & Wesson since the early 1900s. The early models were chambered in .22 Long, while the later models, produced from the 1980s onwards, included short-barreled revolvers and semi-automatic pistols. Smith & Wesson has produced firearms in several standard frame sizes over the years, with the small early Ladysmith frame being referred to as the M-frame. Later LadySmith small revolvers were made on the somewhat larger J-frame, which is the standard S&W small-frame revolver. The M-frame .22" hand-ejector Ladysmith revolver was produced from 1902 through 1921, and later diminutive revolvers were termed LadySmith, capitalizing the "S". A stainless steel, medium frame revolver that holds 6 rounds of .357 Magnum or .357 Magnum ammunition. This model is known as the Smith & Wesson Model 65 LadySmith!
