Bryant Ridge's Analysis:
The Beretta AL390 Silver Mallard, specifically produced with a 22" slug barrel, is a distinguished model from Beretta’s lineup that was manufactured exclusively in 12 gauge between 1994 and 1999. This semi-automatic shotgun, identified by its 1996 production date as per the “BH” date code, combines a classic blue finish with a practical design tailored for slug shooting. Its 22-inch vent-ribbed slug barrel enhances accuracy, supported by a dovetailed blade front sight with a gold bead and an adjustable U-notched rear sight, making it suitable for precise long-range shooting. The shotgun features a checkered walnut stock and forearm, finished with a glossy sheen that not only improves handling but also adds to its visual appeal. The receiver is lightly engraved, adding a touch of elegance while maintaining a standard appearance. As a model discontinued after 1999, the AL390 Silver Mallard holds a unique place in Beretta’s history, reflecting a blend of traditional craftsmanship and functional design that makes it a collectible piece among enthusiasts.
