Item Description
Bryant Ridge Co. is pleased to present this AWESOME semi-automatic pistol today for a penny-start auction; this is the Colt Officers ACP Enhanced!
The Colt Officer’s ACP Enhanced in factory Bright Stainless Steel (BSTS) represents one of the highest-spec and most desirable configurations Colt ever offered in its compact 1911 lineup. The Enhanced package brings a host of factory upgrades—including angled rear serrations, a flat-top slide, an undercut trigger guard, a lowered and flared ejection port, an upswept “duckbill” grip safety, an oval Commander-style hammer, and a beveled magazine well—all designed to modernize the platform and significantly improve handling, reliability, and shootability. When paired with the labor-intensive, mirror-polished Bright Stainless finish, this model sits at the very top of the Officer’s ACP hierarchy, offering both premium aesthetics and enhanced performance. As a result, an Officer’s ACP that is both BSTS and Enhanced stands as one of the most refined, collectible, and sought-after factory configurations Colt ever produced.

Bryant Ridge's Analysis:
The Colt Officer's Model or Colt Officer's ACP is a single-action, semi-automatic, magazine-fed, and recoil-operated handgun based on the John M. Browning-designed M1911. It was introduced in 1985 as a response from Colt to numerous aftermarket companies making smaller versions of the M1911 pistol. In 1985, Colt developed their own in-house version and named it the "Colt Officer's ACP", the following year, they introduced a lighter version with an aluminum frame known as the Lightweight Officer's ACP, which weighed 10 ounces less (24 ounces). The main differences from a full-sized M1911 are 6-round magazines, not 7-round, 7 1/8" overall length, not 8 1/2", 5 1/8" height, not 5 1/2", 34-oz, not 39-oz, and most characteristically, 3 1/2" barrel, not 5".
