The Remington Model 700 BDL SS DM (Detachable Magazine), produced between 1995 and 2004, represents a transitional period in the evolution of the iconic Model 700 platform, blending traditional craftsmanship with modern conveniences. Built with a stainless-steel barreled action and a satin finish, the rifle was designed to withstand the elements while maintaining a sleek and professional appearance. It came standard with a 24-inch barrel and a detachable magazine system offering a 3–4 shot capacity, giving hunters quicker reloads and more flexible handling compared to the classic hinged floorplate design. The rifle was chambered in a wide range of calibers, from light-recoiling .243 Winchester and .260 Remington to hard-hitting magnums like the .338 Winchester Magnum and .300 Weatherby Magnum.
