This is a single shot micro-grooved youth rifle that weighs under 5 pounds, can be taken down with one bolt, and has a beautiful pressed checkered stock with lively grain. The interchangeable blade on ramp base and Bushnell Sportsman 3-9x32 scope configuration will make for a great day at the range with the kids or grandkids. The action cycles smoothly, and the simplistic nature of the action allows for hassle free plinking. At one time, Marlin also sold an adult dimension stock for the 15YN Little Buckaroo allowing a child to grow into a full size rifle. Nicknamed the "Little Buckaroo." The Marlin 15YN is the perfect rifle for teaching youth or any other newcomer the ins and outs of firing a bolt-action rifle. With a small caliber there is minimal kick which makes it great for a first timer.
