The first Colt Gold Cup pistol was introduced in the late 1950s to give competitive shooters a gun to take directly from the dealer’s showcase to the firing line. Colt Gold Cup pistols have been used to compete in local club matches through the National Matches at Camp Perry.
The Colt O5070X 1911 Gold Cup Trophy Pistol ships from the factory in .45 ACP with features of a 5-inch barrel, brushed stainless finish, Pachmayr grips, front dovetail post sight, rear Colt Champion Bomar style sight, round top slide, adjustable aluminum trigger, elongated slot hammer, an overall length of 8.5 inches, an unloaded weight of 39 oz, and an 8+1 round capacity. This example has a bright/polished finish and genuine stag grips.
