Bryant Ridge Auction Company to present this incredible semi auto pistol today for a penny start auction, this is the Colt Pocket Nine Series 90! The pocket nine is the much more RARE sister model to such classics as the Pony, Government, Mustang, and Defender models.

The Colt Pocket Nine was made for one year only, 1999, and approximately only 3500 were made (Colt won't release production figures and that is based upon low to high serial number guestimates). It was discontinued for a variety of reasons, the most important being Major General Keys, USMC (ret) took over Colt and started to divest the company of civilian litigation prone products and focused on the production of military and law enforcement products, of which there was a huge backorder. Additionally the gun was the subject of a lawsuit by Kahr Firearms for copy right infringement concerning the offset barrel lockup hook. The initial run of guns had some reliability problems, but Scott, McDougall & Assoc. was specializing in reworking the guns by dehorning them, polishing the trigger and improving the feeding. Later in the production run, the trigger and feed enhancements were built into the guns.
Condition and Contents:
As you can see in the many high resolution photos, this Colt is in PHENOMENAL condition showing no indications of regular consumer use or handling that we can see whatsoever! Additionally, it will ship with the factory labeled Colt hard case, a total of 3 magazines (2 new in package) and all contents pictured above.
