The Marlin 336 Cowboy was produced from 1999-2004. The .30-30 Win cartridge in this model was only produced from 1999-2001 when it was discontinued.
Our example was made in 1999 and chambered in the .30-30 Win cartridge, making this model a FIRST YEAR OF PRODUCTION AND LIMITED MANUFACTURED MODEL!
