The Browning BAR MKII High Grade was a limited-production, premium edition of the BAR MKII line, manufactured only from 2001 to 2003. Built on the sturdy semi-automatic BAR action, it was available in four popular calibers, such as .270 Winchester, .30-06 Springfield, .300 Winchester Magnum, and 7mm Remington Magnum—and featured either a slender 7-lb 6oz or a robust 8-lb 6oz weight, depending on configuration. What truly sets it apart is its exquisite presentation: the receiver sports a satin finished receiver by luxuriously applied gold borders, with deep-etched game scenes—depicting whitetail/mule deer on the smaller calibers, and moose/elk for the magnum versions. These scenes are meticulously rendered, elevating the rifle into the realm of sporting artistry.
