Bryant Ridge's Analysis:
The Ruger P series is a range of centerfire semi-automatic pistols manufactured by Sturm, Ruger & Company between 1985 and 2013. These pistols were designed for military, police, civilian, and recreational use. They are based on the Browning action found in the M1911 pistol, but with a few variations, mainly related to the safety mechanism and the barrel-camblock interface. Although they are known for their ruggedness, reliability, and strength, they tend to be bulky and have a blocky appearance.

In 1991, Ruger introduced the P90, which is a version of the P89 scaled up and chambered in .45 ACP with an investment cast aluminum alloy frame. It was Ruger's first attempt at a .45 ACP pistol and was in direct competition with SIG Sauer's P220, Smith & Wesson's 4500 series, and, to a lesser extent, Glock's G21, which was also introduced the same year. The P90 is known for its above-average accuracy for its price and was produced until 2010.
