This example has the serial number #BEL0002, which makes it the SECOND-EVER PRODUCED out of only 215 EVER MANUFACTURED!
According to the owner, this example remains in New Old Stock condition, with it being UNFIRED and UNTURNED, which we see no evidence to indicate otherwise whatsoever!
According to the Historical Smith & Wesson Letter, this example, with serial number BEL0002, was shipped from the factory on November 16. 2001 and delivered to RSR Wholesale Corporation Wisconsin, Minneapolis, WI. The invoice listed this as having been shipped with a 3-inch barrel, seven-shot unfluted cylinder, special finish, and rubber finger groove combat butt grip.

Typically, the first unit made is with-held for the Smith & Wesson Museum or for the Distributor to keep, so it is generally accepted that the second unit made is the first unit available commercially. Chambered in .357 Magnum, this revolver produced to RSR Distributor Specifications, features a 3-inch barrel and a 7-shot, non-fluted cylinder, which has been milled for full moon clips, with four included, and each chamber of the cylinder has been chamfered, allowing quicker reloads as the bullets will drop easily into each chamber. The Stainless Steel revolver is finished in the distinctive Birdsong Green and Black, providing a rugged yet sleek appearance that enhances its appeal.
