To celebrate the 40-year anniversary of its patented ten-round detachable rotary magazine, Sturm, Ruger is also commemorating this milestone with the 40th Anniversary Ruger 10/22 Carbine. Each 40th Anniversary edition includes a unique 40th Anniversary clear magazine with a red rotor, in addition to the standard black magazine that comes with all Ruger 10/22s. This special anniversary edition magazine allows customers to see the inner workings of this iconic design. Ruger's unique rotary magazine makes the 10/22 more manageable and gives it a cleaner appearance, with no awkward protrusions at the rifle's balance point. It has been widely regarded as the best and most dependable rimfire rifle in history.
