Both sides of the receiver feature beautiful murals pertaining to the history of Jackson Co, Indiana. The left side of the receiver features a boarder with "FREEMANFIELD / SOUTHERN INDIANA CENTER FOR THE ARTS / BLISH MILL 1858 / TIPTON ISLAND / FORT VALLONIA DAYS", "JACKSON COUNTY" in a banner, "EST. DECEMBER 18, 1815" in a banner, "GENERAL JOHN TIPTON-1812" in a banner, along with war scenes and the state of Indiana with stared cities. It was the ultimate iteration of Winchester levers and, although coming at the end of westward expansion, is often called "The Gun that Won the West." The lightweight and fast handling Model 94 delivers reliable, rapid fire with cartridges powerful enough for deer, bear, and hogs. It is often considered one of the most proven hunting rifles ever made.
The Winchester Model 94AE (AE suffix on the models indicates angle eject) Jackson County, Indiana Commemorative in 30-30 Win. caliber was made & commissioned in 2004 by A&A Exclusive Engraving Inc. in Rapid City, S.D. This rifle commemorates some of Jackson County, Indiana popular places and historical events. It features 5-tone Deluxe 24K gold finish, gold barrel, hand-finished high gloss American Walnut stock with laser engraved stock and forearm. Individually numbered. ONLY 10 rifles were produced in total and this example is #9!
