Bryant Ridge's Analysis:
The bolt action of this firearm is highly advanced. It has a short 60° lift and a non-rotating bolt sleeve that runs the entire bolt length. When unlocked, three guide ribs on the bolt sleeve align with the three locking lugs, allowing the bolt to slide smoothly. When locked, these three lugs provide immense bolt strength. The A-Bolt II has a unique, patented cartridge depressor that remains in position, independent of the bolt rotation, as the bolt slides gently over the cartridges in the magazine, resulting in smooth feeding. The bolt face is recessed, completely surrounding the cartridge base. A cocking indicator located at the rear of the bolt provides visual and tactile firing pin status.
This is an exceptional edition of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, produced in 2007. It boasts a 26-inch barrel that is chambered for the powerful .338 Win. Mag, making it an ideal choice for hunting big game. The bolt body is beautifully engraved with the words "ROCKY MTN ELK FOUNDATION", adding a touch of elegance to the firearm. The one-piece checkered synthetic pistol grip stock is designed for maximum comfort and stability. At the same time, the Mossy Oak Brush Camo Dura-Touch Armor Coat Finish provides excellent protection against the elements. Overall, this is a truly remarkable firearm that any hunting enthusiast would be proud to own.
