The John Wayne Centennial Ruger Vaquero is a TALO Distributors Special Edition commemorating the 100th Birthday of John Wayne and a reflection of 100 years of the finest American values! There were a total of 3500 units specially serialized produced in the original configuration between July and December of 2007. They all featured a really nice engraving pattern designed by American master engraver, Lee Griffiths.
Our particular example holds serial number JW00413!

Inspired by a legend who told it like it was, conceived on America's most popular single action .45, and designed by American Master Engraver Lee Griffiths, the John Wayne Ruger Vaquero was an overwhelming success, according to the talonic website. It was a big departure for TALO, and was advertised on a National scale in American Rifleman!
The Ruger Vaquero is a six-shot single-action revolver that is manufactured by Sturm, Ruger & Co. based on the New Model Ruger Blackhawk frame and was introduced in 1993. It comes in a variety of different finish's such as blued steel, case colored, and a gloss stainless finish and a high polished finish all of which are available with wood, hard rubber, simulated ivory or black micarta grips and fixed sights. It arose with the popularity of Cowboy Action Shooting from which came a high demand for a single-action revolver that was more traditional in appearance. You most certainly do not want to let this slip away!
Condition and Contents:
As you can see in the many high resolution photos, this Ruger is in STUNNING condition showing no evidence of regular consumer use or handling that we can see! Additionally, it will ship with the original factory labeled box with Ruger John Wayne 1907-2007 label, John Wayne Centennial Ruger Vaquero Sleeve, factory test fire, and all contents pictured above.
