The Browning Citori 525 Feather is a lighter-weight iteration of the classic Citori over-and-under, engineered to reduce carry weight while retaining the Citori’s traditional lines and reliable action. Its silver-nitride alloy receiver is reinforced with steel inserts at the breech face and hinge pin, a design that reduces weight by roughly a pound compared with older all-steel receivers while preserving strength where it matters. The model was offered in multiple gauges (12, 20, 28, and .410) with ventilated-rib, lightweight-profile barrels commonly in 26" or 28" lengths; 12- and 20-gauge examples are chambered for 3" shells, while 28-gauge examples are 2 3/4". Typical 12-gauge weights fall in the mid-6 to about 7-pound range, depending on barrel length and trim, while the smaller gauges are noticeably lighter and more comfortable for long upland walks. Functionally, the 525 Feather features a single selective trigger, hammer ejectors, a top-tang barrel selector/safety, and usually ships with three factory choke tubes; 12-gauge versions are generally fitted with a recoil pad, whereas smaller gauges commonly have a hard buttplate.
