The National Match M1911 Pistols are hand fitted and tuned for the National Match competitions which began at Caldwell, NJ and became the Camp Perry match. Among their numbers are some of the most beautiful and accurate pistols ever built. The Colt Gold Cup is known as the finest shooting semi-automatic in the world, and is the standard for competitive guns.
The first pistol was introduced in the late 1950's to give competitive shooters a gun to take directly from the dealer's showcase to the firing line. Colt Gold Cup pistols have been used to compete in local club matches through the National Matches at Camp Perry. It features the Adjustable Wide Trigger, National Match Barrel, Adjustable Target Sights, and many other refinements as standard.
Colt was TALO's first limited edition partner in the late 1990s. With the factory's cooperation, TALO editions have caught the attention of a wide range of Colt collectors. TALO is fortunate to have some well known and talented engravers work on their designs. Master Engravers including Lee Griffiths, Brian Pawley, Ben Lane, Ray Armand, and David Riccardo have all provided designs for TALO projects.
Condition and Contents:
As you can see in the many high resolution photos, this Colt Talo Edition is in PHENOMENAL condition showing no evidence of consumer use or handling that we can see! Additionally, it will come with the factory labeled box and all contents that are pictured above.
