Bryant Ridge's Analysis:
The Hi-Power is an exceptional design by John Moses Browning. Although it is still possible to find Hi-Power pistols at dealers across the U.S., it is technically out of production. The current dealer inventories will be the last available from Browning for the foreseeable future. However, special custom versions will periodically continue to be available from the John M. Browning Custom Shop in Herstal, Belgium. The Browning Hi-Power is a single-action, semi-automatic pistol available in the 9×19mm Parabellum and .40 S&W calibers. It was based on a design by American firearms inventor John Browning and completed by Dieudonné Saive at FN Herstal. Browning passed away in 1926, several years before the design was finalized. FN Herstal named it the "High Power" in allusion to the 13-round magazine capacity, which was almost twice that of other designs at the time, such as the Walther P38 or Colt M1911.
The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation is a conservation and pro-hunting organization, founded in the United States in 1984 by four hunters from Troy, Montana. Its mission is to ensure the future of elk, other wildlife, their habitat, and American hunting heritage.
