In 2007, the Elite Dark model was introduced to the SIG Elite series. It boasted several new features including an ergonomic beavertail grip, front cocking serrations, front strap checkering, custom Hogue aluminum grips, and SIGLITE Adjustable Combat Night Sights. One of the most notable additions was the Short Reset Trigger (SRT), which was designed to provide a faster trigger return and surgical control during high-speed shooting. The SRT offered the same great safety and smooth action as the SIG DA/SA with a comfortable reset that was 60% shorter.
