The HK® MP5 .22 LR Semi-Auto Rifle is designed as a sporting rifle for civilians that has the look and feel of the MP5 but with the convenience of the .22 LR plinking caliber for fun on the range. This particular model comes with a faux suppressor that doubles as a barrel shroud, covering up the 16.1" barrel length required by the ATF. The left-side bolt release knob is easily accessible with either hand and is a well-known feature in the gun industry. The fire control group boasts an ambidextrous safety selector and is made of a durable polymer. The rolled upper receiver is equipped with a rear diopter sight, making it easy to switch between different sight heights. The 16.1" barrel hidden underneath the shroud is threaded to allow for the use of a real suppressor (not included). The paddle magazine release is a feature proudly included on HK rifles intended for civilian use. The collapsible stock makes it easy to conceal the rifle and quickly deploy it when needed.
