The Ruger American Rifle Compact Bolt-Action Rimfire Rifle is a shorter and more compact version of the American Rimfire Standard. It features interchangeable stock modules that offer comb-height options for scope or iron-sight use, along with a synthetic stock with a 12.5" length of pull. The pistol grip and fore-end are designed with modern contouring and texturizing to provide a solid, nonslip grip. The stock is equipped with molded-in Power Bedding to attach the barreled action to the stock rigidly and free-float the barrel for outstanding accuracy. Ruger has designed the Marksman Adjustable trigger for the American Rifle to allow for user-adjustable weight of pull. The Marksman trigger is light and crisp, enabling precision accuracy. Additionally, a 60º bolt lift provides ample clearance to keep fingers and gloves from getting between the bolt handle and the rifle scope. The rifle also features a 2-position tang safety that is easily accessible and quick to operate by both right- and left-handed shooters.
