There are two distinct 87 models both chambered for .22 LR. The standard model is similar to other models, but the 87 Target has a longer barrel and slide, can accept optical sights, and is single action only.
The Beretta 87 Target .22LR pistol with squared bottom corners is ideal for rimfire competition. Features include a built-in weaver-style rail, interchangeable grips, long sight radius for optimized alignment, windage and elevation adjustable sights, and a beveled magazine well. This pistol can produce cloverleafs at distances of over 30 yards, has a trigger breaking at a crisp 3lbs, and has magazines with a rubber pad to be quickly dropped during a competition with no damage.
