The Ruger 9E Semi-Auto Pistol has all the essential features needed to provide shooters with a low-maintenance, rugged, and reliable handgun at a comfortable price point. The 9E has an alloy steel side with a black oxide finish. The slide has a flat top plus 2 angled flats, and wide serrations. A viewing port on the barrel hood provides a visual inspection of a loaded chamber. The 9E features a structurally rigid, glass-filled nylon grip frame that reduces recoil and enhances handgun control, and the front of the frame has a built-in Picatinny rail for modern handgun accessories. The ergonomic grip has an easily adjustable, reversible backstrap to accommodate individual shooter's hand size. The 9E utilizes a trigger with a safety lever that prevents firing unless the center of the trigger is completely pulled. An ambidextrous manual safety and magazine release are easily reached and actuated. The no-snag, 2-dot steel sights are drift adjustable. The Ruger 9E Semi-Auto Pistol uses the same magazine as the Ruger SR9 pistol.
