The Ruger Precision Rifle is engineered for long-range performance and precision. Its medium-contour, cold hammer-forged 4140 chrome-moly steel barrel features 5R rifling, minimum bore and groove dimensions, centralized chambering, and minimal headspace, all culminating in exceptional accuracy. The barrel incorporates a Ruger Precision Rifle Hybrid Muzzle Brake to reduce recoil while minimizing noise and side blast. The upper receiver and one-piece bolt are precision CNC-machined from pre-hardened 4140 steel, and the three-lug bolt with 70° throw, dual cocking cams, and full-diameter smooth-running body ensures reliable operation. The in-line recoil path directs force straight to the buttstock for maximum stability, complemented by the Ruger Precision MSR stock with QD sling points, adjustable length of pull and comb height, a bottom Picatinny rail, and a left-folding hinge that fits any AR-style stock. The contoured magazine well promotes a secure grip against supports, and the oversized bolt handle with 5/16"-24 threading simplifies maintenance. The billet aluminum bolt shroud and precision-machined lower receiver halves from aerospace-grade 7075-T6 aluminum, black oxide/hardcoat anodized Type III finish, offer durability, and the patent-pending multi-magazine interface works with AICS, M110/SR-25/DPMS/Magpul-style, and select M14 magazines. The Ruger Marksman Adjustable trigger is externally adjustable from 2.25 to 5 lbs., and a 45° reversible safety selector provides ergonomic versatility. Barrels can be swapped easily by a competent gunsmith using standard AR-style wrenches and headspace gauges, making the Ruger Precision Rifle a modular and high-performing platform for precision shooters.
