Ruger designed the EC9s semi-auto pistol to work with the 9mm Luger cartridge. This pistol is easy to use and intuitive in high-pressure situations, thanks to the striker-fired mechanism and the short, light trigger pull that delivers crisp action. The front and rear sights are machined into the slide, which makes it easier to target and aim with durable sights that won't be knocked out of alignment. The pistol frame is made with glass-filled nylon with an aluminum insert, and the grip is checkered to provide a solid, nonslip hold. The slide is made from hardened alloy steel with a black finish, and the sharp edges have been removed for enhanced concealability. Safety features include an integrated trigger safety, a manual thumb safety, a magazine disconnect, and a loaded chamber indicator. The Ruger EC9s is lightweight and compact, making it a great concealed-carry option that's comfortable to carry all day and quick to deploy.
