SIG Sauer partnered with Lipsey's to release the special-edition NRA micro-compact pistol just ahead of the National Rifle Association Annual Meeting held in April 2019 in Indianapolis. "SIG Sauer has a long history of supporting the NRA through programs and products,” began Tom Taylor, chief marketing officer and executive vice president, of commercial sales for SIG Sauer. “We expect this unique collaboration with one of our leading business partners on one of the best-selling guns in the market will drive substantial awareness and support for the NRA, and be very popular amongst consumers.”
The SIG SAUER P365 gun showcased by the NRA has a coyote tan grip and slide, and boasts of the same features as the award-winning SIG SAUER P365 everyday, concealed carry pistol. It is a micro-compact pistol that has a higher capacity, and is smaller and lighter compared to other pistols in the same category. This is thanks to its unique high-capacity, patented modified double-stack magazine, which has a 10+1 full-size capacity. To add to this, the package also includes a 12-round magazine, which gives the P365 a whopping 13-round capacity.
