The new Beretta 92 Series A1 semi-automatic pistol retains all the high performance and safety features of the 92 Series while also introducing unique special features. The Beretta 92 A1 is based on the reliable 92FS pistol. The A1 model features an integral MIL-STD 1913 rail on the frame for attaching tactical lights and laser aiming devices. The 9mm magazines have an increased capacity of 17 rounds and can be used interchangeably with other 9mm 90 Series pistols. The front sight is removable, allowing for easy replacement of damaged sights or installation of tritium night sights or other accessory sights. The captive, single-piece recoil spring assembly simplifies the assembly and disassembly process and reduces the possibility of spring loss. Additionally, the Beretta 92A1 includes an internal frame buffer that increases service life by reducing stress on the receiver.
