Originally designed by Colt and introduced as a refinement of the earlier 1851 Navy, the 1861 model features a sleek, streamlined profile with a round 7.5-inch barrel and improved loading lever geometry for smoother operation. Chambered in .36 caliber, it was prized for its balance, accuracy, and reliability on land and sea. Uberti’s reproduction is built to exacting standards, capturing the spirit and function of the original while offering modern craftsmanship.
