The Marlin Dark Series Model 1895 is a Lever Action Rifle that comes chambered in powerful .45-70 Government cartridge. Featuring a 16.17-inch cold hammer-forged barrel, this rifle offers exceptional accuracy and long-lasting performance. The stock is crafted from a strong, nylon-reinforced polymer buttstock that comes with a removable cheek riser that enhances the sight picture when using optics, while a generous recoil pad helps absorb the heavy kick of the .45-70 round. The receiver, lever, and trigger guard plate are CNC-machined from alloy steel, and the rifle’s major components are finished with Graphite Black Cerakote for superior protection against wear and the elements. The threaded barrel comes with a factory-installed radial muzzle brake and an 11/16in-24 thread pattern, allowing for the attachment of additional muzzle accessories. A fiber optic front sight with a tritium ring ensures fast target acquisition, even in low light conditions. For added versatility, the rifle features an anodized aluminum handguard with M-LOK slots for further customization, and a solid Picatinny rail provides a stable platform for optics. The bolt and lever are treated with a nitride finish to resist wear, while the five-round tubular magazine, with a convenient loading gate on the receiver, reliably feeds a wide range of .45-70 ammunition.
