The AMT Lightning 25/22, a semi-automatic rifle chambered in .22 LR, was produced by Arcadia Machine & Tool (AMT).
Closely resembling the Ruger 10/22, the Lightning 25/22 distinguishes itself with a larger 25-round magazine, contrasting Ruger's standard 10-round version. Its receiver differs as well, being crafted from stainless steel rather than aluminum, and features a unique Stainless Steel and Nylon folding stock and pistol grip, departing from the typical wooden or composite stocks found on the 10/22. An extended magazine release further enhances its functionality. AMT's Lightning series, which replicated both the Ruger 10/22 and Mark II pistol, faced legal challenges that ultimately led to the discontinuation of the line. Additionally, the AMT Lightning saw international export to the UK, where Theoben Engineering refined the design to create the AMT/Theoben Target Model.
