The 686 Onyx Pro Field hunting shotgun offers all the functional features of a premium over-under at an attractive price point. It boasts a premium, oil-finished Gr. 3 Turkish walnut stock and fore-end that complements the gloss-finished blued receiver with gold P. Beretta engraving, which is not found on other 686 Silver Pigeon models. This shotgun is built on the best-in-class 686 action, which is both compact and low-profile while being extremely strong. It is available in 12 and 20 gauge, as well as beautifully scaled-down actions for 28 gauge for a true premium-grade experience. The 686 Onyx Pro provides flawless performance and classic Beretta looks, whether you're using it for upland hunting or at the clay range.
The 686 Onyx Pro Field is based on the legendary 686 action, a favorite among hunters and competitive shooters. It features two conical locking lugs at mid-action, right between the barrels. This gives it great locking strength and durability while keeping the action's profile considerably lower. A significant advantage of this design is that the shooter's eye is a lot closer to the plane of their supporting hand, resulting in considerably better swing and hand-eye coordination.
The 686 Onyx Pro may not be as elaborately decorated as Beretta's premium shotguns, but it still boasts all the elegance you can expect from a Beretta. The beautiful oil-finished stock features crisp checkering, and the Schnabel fore-end adds a classic flavor to this over-under. The glossy-blued receiver is adorned with P. Beretta gold engraving, which blends perfectly with the stock and contributes to the gun's graceful lines. This is a shotgun that has all the elements of a treasured heirloom.
