The Brownells BRN-10 was a limited-production rifle designed to replicate the original 1950s Armalite AR-10, complete with historically accurate features like the trigger-style charging handle, slick-side upper, and retro furniture. Built with proprietary components to preserve authenticity, the BRN-10 stood apart from modern AR-10s. Due to its niche appeal and the complexity of producing non-standard parts, Brownells eventually discontinued the model, making surviving examples increasingly hard to find and highly collectible among retro rifle enthusiasts.

Although the AR-10 lost out to the M14 in U.S. military trials, it went on to be licensed by the Dutch firm Artillerie-Inrichtingen and influenced nearly every modern rifle that followed, including the AR-15 and M16 platforms. The BRN-10 sought to pay homage to this legacy by offering a faithful reproduction of the early “Hollywood” AR-10 models. What made the BRN-10 so unique was its commitment to historical detail.
