BROWNING 1886 FOREST SERVICE CARBINE 45/70 Manufactured in 1995 …They only made 2000 of these! It has the coined silver receiver that is engraved and has gold inlays on both sides,plus it has GREAT Wood! Similar to the deluxe version of the Model 1886 it features a blade front sight with an adjustable rear sight, full-length magazine tube, and coin finished receiver and lever. The right side of the receiver features a banner reading “U.S. NATIONAL FORESTS CENTENNIAL 1891-1991/ONE OF 2000”, as well as a seal reading “FOREST RESERVE RANGER” surrounding “US DEPARTMENT OF THE INTERIOR”, all gold accented. The left side of the receiver features the dates “1891/1991” in banners, as well as the seal of the U.S Forest Service Department of Agriculture, also accented in gold. Fancy select checkered high gloss walnut forearm and straight grip stock with metal crescent buttplate.
