The Browning Jonathan Browning Mountain Rifle is an homage to the iconic Hawken-style percussion rifles of the 19th century, named after Jonathan Browning, the father of famed firearms designer John Moses Browning—who was a respected gunsmith in his own right. Introduced in the late 1970s by Browning Arms as part of their renewed focus on black powder firearms, this rifle combines classic aesthetics with modern build quality. It features a heavy 30" octagonal barrel, walnut stock with cheekpiece, brass furniture, and a single-set trigger, designed for accurate, refined performance in hunting or target shooting.
