Bryant Ridge's Analysis:
Example 1: One of the most popular lever-actions of all time, 1892, was designed by John M. Browning. The 1892 Rifle was mechanically stronger and less costly to produce than the 1873. A total of 1,004,675 of the 1892s, in both solid and take-down models, were manufactured from 1892 to 1941. This smaller version of his Model 1886 used the popular short cartridges of 1873 but had a simplified ramp elevator. The Takedown rifles featured a case-hardened frame and blue barrel finish. It can be broken down into two pieces for easy transport. Not only does this 1892 handle modern ammunition great for hunting purposes, it is a lighter-weight rifle with a smaller receiver size than the popular 1866 and 1873 rifles.
Example 2: Made in 1872, this is a gun that needs no introduction. The buyer can specify either the “old model” screw retainer for the cylinder pin or the more convenient “new model” plunger. The grip frame can be either steel or brass, and on the metal surface, you can select standard blueing, eye-catching charcoal blueing, full nickel plating, white finish, or Old West antique finish. Grips can also be selected with smooth or checkered walnut, black synthetic, polymer ivory, pearl or buffalo. These single actions are also available with a “bird head” style grip (only in walnut). Pietta has such a vast range of Single Action revolvers – between the finish caliber and barrel length, you are looking at an assortment of over 500,000 different models. Incredible but true!
