The Chiappa Rhino 200DS is a double-action/single-action snub-nose revolver chambered in .357 Magnum, also capable of firing .38 Special for reduced recoil. Compact and lightweight at around 25 ounces, its aluminum-alloy frame and uniquely shaped hexagonal steel cylinder contribute to a slim profile ideal for concealed carry. The most distinctive feature of the Rhino is its low bore axis design: the barrel is aligned with the bottom chamber of the cylinder rather than the top, drastically reducing muzzle flip and directing recoil straight back into the shooter’s hand for improved control and faster follow-up shots. The ergonomic grip provides consistent hand placement, further aiding in recoil management.
