The 1911 and 1911-A1 pistols served the military of the United States from 1911 to 1985, through two World Wars and the Korean and Vietnam wars. They gained a reputation as a reliable handgun with plenty of stopping power, and are held in high regard by those who have used them. This is a 1911-A1 pistol made by Colt in 1943 during WWII. The example has its original parkerized finish, proper markings and small parts for a 1943 vintage Colt and matching serial numbers on its slide and frame, all of which combine to make this a great pistol to add to a collection.
Condition and Contents:
As you can see in the many high resolution photos, this Colt is in excellent condition showing no evidence of extensive consumer use or mishandling that we can see!
