The Colt Delta Elite is a significant firearm in the history of semi-automatic pistols, notable for being the first 10mm Auto pistol produced by a major manufacturer. Introduced in 1987 by Colt’s Manufacturing Company, it was a modified version of the Series 80 M1911 platform, adapted to handle the increased pressure and energy of the then-novel 10mm Auto cartridge.
