Example 1: The M7 bayonet is a bayonet that was used by the U.S. military for the M16 rifle, it can also be used with the M4 carbine as well as many other assault rifles, carbines and combat shotguns. It can be used as a fighting knife and utility tool. It was introduced in 1964, when the M16 rifle entered service during the Vietnam War.
Example 2: Kiffe Company was a military surplus arms dealer and sporting goods company. 2 other companies used the Utica Cutlery military contract specifications for the M4 bayonet made by Howa Kogyo Arms Co....(1) Service Armament Company (bayonets mismarked SAB) of New Jersey and (2) Sportsworld of Chicago.) Over 112,000 Kiffe M4 Bayonets were made from 1948 to 1955 and paired up with surplus M1 carbine rifles sold by the Kiffe Co ... US M4 Kiffe Bayonet Combat Fighting Trench Knife.
