Engraved by one of the most famous Master Engravers that has ever lived...Mr. A.A. White.
Alvin Alexander White may well be the best known American firearms engraver of the 20th century and arguably one of the best. White worked as a die cutter prior to World War II and then served in the U.S. Army Air Corps in North Africa and the Pacific during the war. In the 1950s, he began work as a firearms engraver for Colt and rose to the rank of Master Engraver. White would later rightly earn the title “the Dean of American Arms Engravers” due both to his own talents and for passing on his knowledge to the next generation of engravers such as his protégés Andrew Bourbon and Daniel Cullity. Some of his guns were owned by world leaders including President John F. Kennedy and President Ronald Reagan, but he also engraved guns for collectors.

Markings: These revolvers are embellished with Class "D" scroll engraving and further enhanced with a specially designed gold inlaid President's logo consisting of the inscription "President's Edition" layed out in a unique oval pattern. The scroll engraving was performed by Master Engraver, Alvin White, and the gold inlayed President's logo by Colt Master Engraver, Steve Kamyk.

This unique set was specially produced for the collection of Mr. Ed Warner, President of Colt Firearms from August of 1975 through May of 1981. Mr. Warner had a display of these guns in his office at Colt's, and used them as samples for the promotion of Colt firearms.
The scroll engraving was performed by Master Engraver, Alvin White, and the gold inlayed President's logo by Colt Master Engraver, Steve Kamyk.

Condition and Contents:
As you can see in the many high resolution photos, this set is in IMMACULATE condition, and each revolver comes in a colt factory specially constructed glass top presentation case, french fitted, with tyrol red velvet interior to accomodate the revolvers and accessories. These accesories, which are serialized to their guns, consist of each gun coming with a powder flask, bullet mould, nipple wrench, and cap tin. Affixed to the interior of each case is a brass plaque inscribed with the model designation and serial number.
