Celebrate the artistry of Colt craftsmanship with this exceptional Colt Single Action Army revolver, a standout from the 150th Anniversary Engraving Sampler collection. Processed under Colt Custom Shop Order Number 3322, this limited-edition masterpiece is one of approximately only 53 ever produced in this exclusive configuration, making it a true rarity for collectors.
The revolver features a distinctive Type “B” scroll engraving that pays tribute to legendary Colt engravers, with Henshaw scrolls on the bottom of the backstrap and trigger guard bow, Nimschke scrolls on the cylinder, Helfricht scrolls on the frame, and a Contemporary motif along the barrel and ejector rod housing. The 150% Rampant Colt logo is line-cut engraved atop the backstrap, with “Colt Engraving Sampler” elegantly inscribed in script down the backstrap. Completing its historical homage, the scrimshawed grips are etched with the names and active years of iconic engravers—R. Menshan (1831), L. Nimschke (1850–1900), C. Helfricht (1871–1921), and a nod to Contemporary artistry—making this revolver a striking fusion of craftsmanship, heritage, and exclusivity.

The Colt Single Action Army (SAA), also known as the Peacemaker, Model P, or M1873, is a legendary revolver that played a foundational role in shaping both American firearm history and popular culture. Designed by Colt’s Patent Firearms Manufacturing Company for the 1872 U.S. military trials, it became the standard-issue revolver for the U.S. Army from 1873 to 1892. Its reliability, simplicity, and rugged construction earned it widespread adoption not only by soldiers, but also by cowboys, lawmen, and outlaws across the American frontier.
