This Emiliano Zapata is a limited edition pistol with an overall total of 200 ever produced. This particular example sports the serial #EXP0138, making it #138 out of the 200 produced!

The Horseman, Emiliano Zapata is one of Mexico's most revered national heroes. He sought to achieve political and economic emancipation in Southern Mexico. Zapata's lack of formal education was more than offset by his native shrewdness and intense commitment to the rights of the underprivileged. In addition to many military victories, Zapata championed land reform and other programs which were eventually incorporated into the 1917 Constitution of Mexico. The expression "It is better to die on your feet than live on your knees was attributed to him. Today in Mexico, there are many cities, towns, buildings, and streets named in his honor.
This Colt/Talo Government Model is a limited edition pistol called Emiliano Zapata. It is a full-sized government model that is chambered in .38 Super and features a blue finish with 24 karat gold. One side of the pistol has a traditional Mexican engraving pattern with scrolls and Zapata's name and image, along with the Colt Serpentine logo. On the right side, there is traditional Mexican folk art styling with the expression commonly attributed to Zapata in Spanish. The Emiliano Zapata also comes equipped with uniquely engraved double diamond grips with gold grip screws. Only 200 of these pistols were ever produced, making it a rare and highly collectible example that would be a perfect addition to your collection!
