It's easy to guess that Fred Huntington designed it. Interestingly, when Remington introduced the .244 Remington, they opted for a 26-degree shoulder, essentially ending the Rockchucker production. There was also a Super Rockchucker with a 45-degree shoulder. From what we can gather, it is a 25-06 necked down to shoot a .243 bullet. Some people say that it is similar to the 6mm-06 improved cartridge.
