Item Description
The Daewoo DR-300 is a 7.62x39mm semi-automatic rifle manufactured in the 1990s as a "post-ban" variant of the military K2 rifle, intended for the U.S. market. Due to import restrictions at the time, these rifles were modified with features like thumbhole stocks and 10-round magazines. They are considered rare Korean-made rifles and are sometimes imported with other optics or modified stocks. The DR-300 is based on the military Daewoo K2 rifle, but is a semi-automatic version specifically for the U.S. civilian market.

Bryant Ridge's Analysis:
The Daewoo DR-300 is a distinctive and uncommon semi-automatic rifle that blends design elements from several proven military platforms. Chambered in 7.62x39mm, it offers the ballistic performance and affordability associated with the AK cartridge while incorporating engineering features closer to the AR-15 and FAL families. Its 18-inch barrel, capped with a flash hider, provides balanced handling and effective velocity for both range use and practical field shooting. The rifle’s hooded blade front sight, peep rear, and added Picatinny rail create a flexible sighting system that supports both traditional iron sight use and modern optics.
