The Kodiak is one of Dan Wesson's most popular 1911 models. It is equipped with a 6-inch bushing-less barrel chambered in 10mm. These features provide the Kodiak with a longer sight radius, reduced felt recoil, less muzzle flip, and increased accuracy, allowing full-power 10mm loads to achieve their full potential.

The long-slide Kodiak features a 6-inch bushing-less bull barrel, allowing full-power 10mm loads to achieve their maximum potential. The extended barrel not only gives the potent 10mm more time to build energy but also provides a longer sight radius, enhancing accuracy and reducing felt recoil and muzzle flip. The fully adjustable sights are fitted with fiber optic rods for illumination, and a rail on the dust cover allows for the mounting of a light or laser. Additionally, the addition of a magwell makes reloads smoother, and an ambidextrous safety makes this 1911 more lefty-friendly.
