This DWM 1914 Luger is rare and seldom found. It was manufactured in the first serial number block of the introductory year for the Artillery Luger represented by the serial number 4945. This pistol was manufactured for standard issue for the German military. The pistols toggle-locked recoil assembly make the Luger one of the most distinctive semi-automatic pistols in the world. The Luger was designed by Gerog J. Luger and first produced by Deutsche Waffen und Munitionsfabriken, or DWM, in 1900. The 9 x 19mm Parabellum cartridge was developed for the Luger. The barrel and receiver are marked with full serial number and proofed to the weapon. The Luger has all matching numbers and has fixed front and rear sights. The frame has the stock lug and thumb safety. The chamber is etched with the "Imperial Eagle" firing proof on the barrel, extension and frame, and a set of "crown/gothic letters" proofs on the right side of the extension.
Condition and Contents:
As you can see in the many high resolution photos, this Luger is in PHENOMENAL condition showing no indications of regular consumer use and handling that we can see!
