The FN Model 1924 series is a lineup of bolt-action rifles based on the Mauser Gewehr 98 pattern. These rifles were manufactured by the Belgian Fabrique Nationale and are quite similar to the Czech vz. 24 rifle. However, they have an intermediate length action of 215mm/8.46 in. These rifles feature open sights, and are chambered in 7.65×53mm, 7×57mm or 8×57mm IS. They come with Long Rifle, Short Rifle, and Carbine-length barrels, hardwood stocks, and straight or curved bolt handles. The FN Model 1924 series rifles were discontinued from production and were no longer offered after 1932, having been entirely replaced by the 1930 pattern.
The FN Model 1930 series is another lineup of rifles based on the Mauser Gewehr 98 pattern. These rifles have the standard length action of 223mm/8.8 in. They feature open sights and are chambered in 7.65x53mm, 7x57mm, 8×57mm IS, .30-06 Springfield, or 7.62x51 NATO. Like the Model 1924, they come with Long Rifle, Short Rifle, and Carbine-length barrels, hardwood stocks, and straight or curved bolt handles. This Venezuelan Mauser is an FN 24/30 Short Rifle manufactured by Fabrique Nationale of Belgium as a contract rifle for Venezuela. It is chambered in the 7mm Mauser cartridge and is stamped with the Venezuela crest it also comes equipped with a blade front and an adjustable “V” notched escalator rear sight that gives you better accuracy at longer distances.
