Bryant Ridge's Analysis:
The FN Model 1910 is a semi-automatic pistol that operates on a blowback mechanism. It was designed by John Browning and manufactured by Fabrique Nationale of Belgium. There is a variant of the Model 1910 known either as the Model 1922 or 1910/22. This model is larger than the original and has a longer barrel (113 mm), slide extension, and grip frame to accommodate two extra rounds. The Model 1922 was intended for military and police contracts, and many were produced for different agencies. During World War II, the Model 1910/1922 saw extensive service and was even manufactured by the Germans after they seized the FN factory in Belgium. These models carry German military production stamps, and most have simple checkered wood grips instead of the earlier horn or plastic grips bearing the FN logo.
